GARDENS

Building on the success of the development of the rose theme garden, the following additional gardens are proposed as part of the Development Plan.

Mediterranean Garden

At the base of the Piazza Platform it is proposed that a Mediterranean Garden be created. This will provide a thematic setting for the Piazza structure. Tall columnar tree plantings will conceal the underside of the concrete structure. Textured palms will create attractive foliage patterns when viewed from above. Formal planting structure at the base of the Piazza steps will extend the Piazza design patterns linking with the formality of the existing rose garden and the proposed Piazza Promenade.

Caroline Bay Hall Lawn

This garden will be situated on the west side of the Caroline Bay Association Building. It will be a formal rectangular lawn and garden area with trees for shelter and garden beds.

Existing Oriental Garden

The Oriental Garden located behind the Caroline Bay Association Building will be removed.
