Celebrating South Canterbury's heritage of water
An online presentation on Timaru’s historic water supply. A joint production from the New Zealand Historic Places Trust (NZHPT) and the South Canterbury Museum for ICOMOS (International Council for Monuments and Sites) World Heritage Day ‘The Heritage of Water’, 2011.
Includes interviews recorded by NZHPT staff members Zoe Roland and Robyn Burgess with local landowners and historians while touring the Pareora Dam, water courses and reservoir, overlaid against contemporary and historical photographs from the South Canterbury Museum collection.
James Craigie Illustrated Manuscript
Illustrated Manuscript, 2009/100.01 - Presented to James Craigie, past Mayor and noted philanthropist, in 1924 by the citizens of South Canterbury on the eve of his departure for "Egypt, the Holy Land, Europe and the mother country".
