Spydus is Timaru District Libraries OPAC
(Online Public Access Catalogue)
Anyone can now search Spydus for details about the Books, Magazines, Music CDs, Music Cassettes, DVDs, Videos, Talking Books, CD-Roms, Language Packs, PlayStation Games, Children’s Book and Tape sets and Jigsaws that are held at the Timaru District Libraries located in Timaru, Temuka and Geraldine.
If you are a Library member you can view your Library Card information including:
Items on Issue showing the date they are due back
Reserves that you have
Overdue and other charges.
You can also:
Renew items, but only if not overdue, previously renewed or reserved for someone else
Reserve items, but only if item status is Onloan. If item status is On-Order, Available or In-Process, you will have to contact Library Staff in person, by phone (687 7202) or
by email (library@timdc.govt.nz) to have these items reserved.
(N.B. To be able to access your Library Card information you will need a PIN number. If you do not already have one, contact the Library Staff to have one placed on your record.)
Other features of the Spydus OPAC Catalogue include being able to view Recent Titles (i.e. New material) added to the Library for the current month and previous month.
You can use the Spydus OPAC both at the Libraries of from any computer which has access to the internet.
