The South Canterbury Museum contains valuable collections
of objects and information covering the natural and human
history of South Canterbury. Permanent displays and a temporary
exhibition programme provide fascinating glimpses into our
region's past. The Museum's local history study area provides
access to rich archival and documentary collections for students,
historians and genealogists.

The Student Showcase exhibition: Mint! opened on Friday 25 July. Guests were entertained by Craighead barbershop quartet, “Tuned In”, the first performance of this exhibition
We are delighted with the positive response from high schools in providing a vibrant and varied array of items for exhibition, from wearable art, to sports trophies, learning accomplishments, folios of work, movies and drama performance. There is sure to be something that appeals to all ages, and as the exhibition changes every two weeks, worth returning to again over the period it is on.
