The first sods have been turned in the next stage of a Caroline Bay redevelopment that will bring a touch of Mediterranean seaside culture to the iconic South Canterbury tourist attraction.
Stage Two of the Timaru District Council’s Caroline Bay Redevelopment programme began last week and by mid-November and the expense of approximately $1.2 million will see an extended Loop Road car park, the relocation of the bird aviary, the resealing of the Bay tennis courts and the establishment of a “meet and greet” visitor reception area among other improvements. more....
