Waste Disposal

Waste disposal facilities are provided in Geraldine, Pleasant Point, Temuka and Timaru. Rubbish is collected at these waste disposal centres and is transported to the Redruth Landfill in Timaru. Separated garden waste is also collected at these sites and transported for composting at the Redruth Landfill site. Containers for recycling are provided at each centre.

Public Dumping Hours

All facilities are closed on Good Friday, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Opening times may vary for other public holidays. Please check with the Council.
