Get ready to rule the pool while others keep cool! We’re looking for water and safety conscious lifeguards to join our teams at CBay and the District Pools as we open up our outdoor pools for the season!
You will be responsible for delivering amazing customer service, while providing a safe and enjoyable aquatic experience for our community. Dealing with people from all walks of life, each day will be different and keep you on your toes!
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Awesome observational skills
- Ability to stay calm in busy and pressured situations
- Excellent communication skills and a strong team approach
- A keen eye for spotting potential hazards and preventing incidents
We have a number of positions available at CBay and our three District Pools; Geraldine, Temuka and Pleasant Point, commencing in November 2019 and concluding in March 2020.
Hours will be on a rolling roster basis, Monday to Sunday, so the ability to work early morning, late evening, weekend, and public holiday shifts is essential.
Previous Lifeguard experience/training and a current First Aid certificate is preferred but not essential - full training will be provided to the successful applicants. All applicants must be able to complete a practical assessment, including swimming 200m within 6 minutes, retrieving an object from the bottom of the pool, and treading water for 5 minutes.
