The demands on the Timaru District’s critical roading infrastructure is becoming increasingly challenging. Roads are the arteries of our community and we are looking for an individual to deliver strategies and policies that create efficiencies in the land transport space!
You’ll be the ‘behind the scenes’ lead preparing Activity Management Plans, business cases and transport strategies, policies, bylaws and procedures to ensure a safe and effective transport network.
This core role is all about forward planning where you will set the framework for external funding applications and council planning documents. You will work collaboratively with other local authorities in the region and be a key player in Road Efficiency Group initiatives, particularly the mid-south Canterbury road collaboration initiative.
We are looking for someone who is analytical, has a logical, solutions focussed approach, and enjoys variety and having multiple activities on the go. Ideally you will have an understanding of asset management, policy and strategy principles. Knowledge of transport networks is an added bonus.
What are you waiting for? Help shape the future of our thriving district’s infrastructure!
