Snap Send Solve, your favourite park

#CULTURE + LIFESTYLE

Timaru District Council, with support from Sport Canterbury, are developing a Play, Active Recreation and Sport Strategy for the Timaru District.
Over the development of the Strategy we have been engaging with a range of sporting, recreation and community groups, partner organisations and the wider community to understand the needs, wants and dreams for our districts open spaces.
For one of the consultations, we utilized the Snap Send Solve app, and asked the community to Snap their favourite Park. The prize for the best snap was a race with Timaru District mayor Nigel Bowen down the double flying fox at Mulcahy Park in Timaru.
Safe to say Hazel and Timea (mum to Alma the dog) won the flying fox race!
Massive thanks to all those who took part in this competition and snapped their favourite Park.
Below are a couple of images from the big races that took place last Thursday.
