#INFRASTRUCTURE MATTERS

The Church St and Grey Road intersection is open a week ahead of schedule.

"We are stoked, It's fantastic to be able to have this intersection open earlier than planned," Land Transport Manager Susannah Ratahi said.

"The team planning and delivering the work have done an amazing job."

"We had contingency in place in case of bad weather or unknown ground conditions at the site, but thankful none eventuated . The only thing that delayed us the last few days of the project was the much needed rain, but it meant we had to wait to paint the  intersection.

"We are just so thrilled to be able to deliver this to the public early, and the massive amount of positive feedback we had letting the public know it was open, was the cherry on top."

"Thank you for your patience while we made this intersection safer and easier to use."
