Extension of Ewen Road Works:
We wanted to provide you with an update on the ongoing Ewen Road water and sewer renewal project taking place in Temuka. Firstly, we would like to express our gratitude for your patience and understanding thus far. The project has been progressing smoothly, and we have made significant advancements.
During the course of our underground works, we have discovered additional opportunities for improvement. Consequently, we have decided to expand the scope of our project to include the re-routing of misaligned stormwater connections and the replacement of aging sewer infrastructure. Although these additional works will bring long-term benefits, we need to inform you that it will be necessary to extend the road closure until July 11, 2023.
By incorporating these additional works into our initial program, we are optimising the value for ratepayers by minimising future disruptions. Furthermore, we are taking this opportunity to refresh the footpath in the area. It is also worth noting that Alpine Energy will be replacing an electricity pole during the road closure. By coordinating our efforts with multiple departments and agencies, we aim to minimise inconvenience and maximise efficiency.
We understand that this extension may cause some inconvenience, and we sincerely apologise for any disruption caused. Please be assured that we are working diligently to complete the project as quickly as possible while maintaining the highest standards of quality
