#INFRASTRUCTURE MATTERS

Pleasant Point Watermain Renewals

Timaru District Council's water team is renewing 2.6km of ageing water pipes and fittings on Te Ngawai Road, Kumara Terrace, Manse Road, George Street , Kabul Street, Kandahar Street and Burgess Street.

Works will commence approximately 2 October 2023 with an expected duration of  nine months, concluding by the end of June 2024.  We'll start with works on Te Ngawai Road from early October to early December 2023.

The existing water pipelines are at the end of their useful life and must be replaced to ensure longevity of our community infrastructure so we can continue to supply  clean water without service interruptions.
