#INFRASTRUCTURE MATTERS

Road Closed MacDonald Street, Geraldine

Where: MacDonald Street, Geraldine, from Highway 79 to approximately #20.

When: Road closure will be in place from 7:00 am on July 16, 2025, to 6:00 pm on July 17, 2025.

Why: To undertake water repairs

Additional information/Disruption:

  • Waihi Terrace (SH 79) and Tripp Street detour
  • Pedestrian access maintained
  • No parking cones will be placed

Road Closed Cleland Road at SH8 Intersection

Where: No entry to Cleland Road from SH8 – Pleasant Point Cave Highway

When:

  • Road closure will be in place from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm on July 18, 2025.
  • The intersection will require a further closure from 7:00 a.m. on July 21, 2025, until 6:00 p.m. on July 25, 2025.

Why: Downlands water main replacement

Additional information/Disruption:

  • Detour in place is to follow SH8 to Te Ngawai Road. Turn left onto Totara Valley Road and follow to Cleland Road.

Road Closure Extension Barker Street, Geraldine

Where: Barker Street, Geraldine.

When:

Due to delays caused by inclement weather, this closure has been extended until 15 August 2025.

The road closure will be in place from 8:00 am on Monday, 26 May 2025, and is expected to be completed by 5:00 pm Friday, 18 July 2025.

Why:  To install new kerb & channel and stormwater infrastructure.

Additional information/Disruption:

  • The Barker Street entry/exit to the Pekapeka Gully Walking Track will be closed for the duration of the work. Please use alternative access points on Shaw Street or Hewlings Street
