Utility Upgrades: The Royal Arcade

Where: The Royal Arcade – Timaru CBD.

When: The Royal Arcade will have night works carried out between 10:00 pm and 6:00 am from Sunday, July 20, 2025, to Sunday, August 10, 2025.

Why: To allow for Alpine Energy to complete power upgrades

Additional information/Disruption: Pedestrians will not be permitted within the worksite during the hours Alpine are on site but will have access during the day.

Reminder - Road Closed Cleland Road at SH8 Intersection

Where: No entry to Cleland Road from SH8 – Pleasant Point Cave Highway

When: Road closure will be in place from 7:00 a.m. on July 21, 2025, until 6:00 p.m. on July 25, 2025.

Why: Downlands water main replacement

Additional information/Disruption: Detour in place is to follow SH8 to Te Ngawai Road. Turn left onto Totara Valley Road and follow to Cleland Road.

Extension - Road Closure Rolling Ridges Road, Timaru

Where: The bridge on Rolling Ridges Road, near the Levels Valley Road intersection.

When:  This road closure will now be in place until Friday, August 8, 2025.

Why:  To replace the Rolling Ridges bridge deck.

Additional information/Disruption: The road will be closed for the duration of the work. Detour routes will be put in place to guide road users around the site. Delays up to 10 minutes are to be expected.
