When:

The road will be closed from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am, daily from Sunday, May 11, 2025, until approximately Friday, May 23, 2025.

Why:  

NZTA State Highway Paving

Additional information/Disruption:

• Residents' access will be maintained.
• Ewen Road closed from Allnatt Street, detour down Allnatt Street to Wilmshurst Road
• Ewen Road closed from Birkett Street, detour down Birkett Street to Wilmshurst Road.

Collingwood Street, Timaru

Where:

Collingwood Street at the Wai-iti Road intersection

When:

The road will be closed from 7:00 am on Monday, May 12, 2025, until approximately 6:00 pm on Friday, May 16, 2025.

Why:  

Alpine Energy Power Upgrade

Additional information/Disruption:

• Residents' access will be maintained via Melrose Street.

Glamis Street/Lindsay Street, Timaru

Where:

The Glamis Street/Lindsay Street intersection

When:

The road will be closed from approximately 7:00 am on Monday, May 12, 2025, until approximately 5:00 pm on Friday, May 16, 2025.

Additional information/Disruption:

• Residents' access will be maintained

Grants Road, Timaru

Where:

#9 Grants Road to the Evans Street intersection.

When:

An extension has been requested for this work. The road will now continue to be closed from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, daily from Monday, May 12, 2025, until approximately Friday, May 16, 2025.

Why:

Due to the recent weather conditions the work stated below has been delayed.

This closure is required to allow the contractor to install a new manhole and complete water connections to properties as part of the Evans Street water main project.

Additional information/Disruption:

• Residents' access will be maintained.
• Detours will be put in place to help guide road users.

Kent Street/Usk Street, Timaru

Where:

From approximately #98 Kent Street to #6 Usk Street

When:

The road will be closed from 6:00 am on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, until approximately 7:00 pm on Thursday, May 15, 2025.

Why:

Water maintenance – water lateral replacement
