#INFRASTRUCTURE MATTERS

Road Closed: Wilson Street and Cox Street, Geraldine

Where: The intersections of Wilson Street/Talbot Street and Cox Street/Talbot Street, Geraldine.

When: Work will begin on Sunday, 25 May 2025 and is expected to be completed by Friday, 30 May 2025. The closure will be in place nightly, from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am, to minimise disruption to businesses and road users.

Why:  To allow Citycare Water to perform sewer maintenance.

Additional information/Disruption:

  • Pedestrian and emergency service access will be maintained.
  • Talbot Street, within the worksite, will be reduced to one lane while the closure is in place; portable traffic lights will be in place to guide traffic.

Road Closed: Barker Street, Geraldine

Where: Barker Street, Geraldine.

When: The road closure will be in place from 8:00 am on Monday, 26 May 2025, and is expected to be completed by 5:00 pm Friday, 18 July 2025.

Why:  To install new kerb & channel and stormwater infrastructure.

Additional information/Disruption:

  • The Barker Street entry/exit to the Pekapeka Gully Walking Track will be closed for the duration of the work. Please use alternative access points on Shaw Street or Hewlings Street

Road Closed: Miro Street, Pleasant Point

Where: Miro Street, Pleasant Point

When: The road closure will be in place from 7:00am on Wednesday 28 May 2025 until approximately 5:00pm on Friday 13 June 2025.

Why:  To allow Menzies Ltd. to conduct stormwater upgrades.

Additional information/Disruption:

  • Residents will be able to enter/exit their properties.
