Where: Alexandra Street Between Wilkin Street and Hamilton Street

Studholme Street from Alexandra Street to the dead end.

When: Tuesday, October 13 and Wednesday, October 14 2026 Daily from 6.00 am to 8.00 pm

Why: Power pole and overhead wire replacement

Road Closure: Newland Road, Clandeboye

Where: Newland Road From Rolleston Road to #994 Newland Road

When: Monday, October 12 2026 to Friday, October 30 2026 Daily from 6.00 am to 6.00 pm

Why: Services being installed across the road.

Road Closure: Selwyn Street, Timaru

Where: Selwyn Street from Glen Street to Grasmere Street

When: Monday, October 12 2026 to Saturday, October 24 2026 Daily 8.00 am to 6.00 pm

Why: Mill and mix of road surface and pedestrian crossing upgrades

Road Closure: Virtue Avenue & Caroline Bay Carpark

Where: From the Te Weka Street Intersection to the end of the road

When: Thursday, October 15 2026 to Saturday, October 17 2026

Why: Mill and mix of road surface

Additional information/Disruption:

• Residents will have access however there might be delays of 10 minutes.
• Temporary traffic light controlled access into Te Weka Street

Road Closure: Grasmere Street, Timaru

Where: Grasmere Street Timaru from Evans Street to #4 Grasmere Street

When: Thursday, October 15 2026 from 8.00 pm to 6.00 am

Why: To allow for repairs to a manhole lid located in the middle of the intersection.

The following roads/streets are scheduled for chipsealing this week, with road closures in place while work is carried out.

In most cases, each site takes 1–3 days to complete, depending on the length of road
