Here are the upcoming planned road closures straight from the Land Transport Department for the week starting from October 27

Road Closure: Luxmoore Road, Timaru

Where: Luxmoore Road will be closed between Evans Street (State Highway 1) and Clyde Carr Cresent.

When: The road will be closed daily from 7.00am to 6.00pm, Monday 27 October to Friday 31 October 2025.

Why: Water main installation

Road Closure: South Street, Timaru

Where: South Street, from approximately #9 to # 15.

When: Road Closure Extension: This closure will be in place from 7.00am to 6.00pm daily until Friday, October 31, 2025.

Why:  Service connections and driveway construction.

No Exit: Hopkinson Road, Temuka

Where: Exit from Hopkinson Road onto Timaru-Temuka Highway will be closed

When: The exit onto Timaru- Temuka Highway will be closed daily from 7:00am to 5:00pm from Tuesday 28 October 2025 to Tuesday 4 November 2025

Why: Installing new Culvert

Road Closed: Resurfacing Programme

The following roads/streets are scheduled for chip sealing during the week, and roads will be closed while work is carried out.

In most cases, with each site takes 1–3 days to complete, depending on the length of road

• Cascade Place, Geraldine.
• Lewis Street, Geraldine.
• Huffy Street, Geraldine.
• Hislop Street, Geraldine.
