Here are the upcoming planned read closures straight from the Land Transport Department for the week starting from September 15.

Road Closure: Bain Road, Temuka

Where: Bain Road from Milford Clandeboye Road to Guild Road.

When: The closure will be in place from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm on Monday, September 15, 2025, and Tuesday, September 16, 2025.

Why:  Power pole and wire replacements

Road Closure: Hayes Street, Timaru

Where: Hayes Street – from the Stuart Street to Hayman Street

When: The closure will be in place from 7:00 am on Monday, September 15, 2025 until approximately 6:00 pm on Friday, October 3, 2025.

Why: Installation of the stormwater pipe across the road and new manhole.

Road Closure: Chaucer Street, Timaru

Where: Chaucer Street – From Hill View Crescent to Matai Crescent

When: The closure will be in place from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, and Thursday, September 18, 2025.

Why:  Replacement of water hydrant within the centre of the road
