Partial removal of precautionary boil water notice for Downlands rural water supply

We are pleased to announce that following successful commissioning of the new Te Ana Wai water treatment plant, the precautionary boil water notice has been removed for the majority of Downlands consumers.

The exclusions are noted below:

Downlands customers in the St Andrews area, and on the Waitohi/Kakahu side of the Opihi River, unfortunately are still required to boil their water until otherwise advised.

If you are on Downlands water and not in the one of the above-named areas, your water is now good to go straight from the tap!

If you’re unsure as to the status of your water, or what water supply zone you are in, please phone our Customer Services Team for assistance on 03 687 7200.

You can also enter your property address into our online water status map and get an instant answer:  https://www.timaru.govt.nz/wssmap

Public notices are coming to this area soon.
