Works Ahead: Washdyke Industrial Area

#INFRASTRUCTURE MATTERS

Over recent weeks, we have heard concerns from the community and road users regarding traffic congestion and delays within the Washdyke Industrial Area. We understand the disruption this has caused for businesses, freight operators, commuters, and local residents, and have been working closely with stakeholders to identify improvements that will help traffic move more efficiently through the area.

*Please note that adverse weather or unexpected delays can affect these dates.

From Sunday, November 08 until Monday, November 30, 2026 a temporary one-way traffic system will be in place to help reduce congestion and improve traffic flow around the ongoing works.

The changes are as follows:

  • Seadown Road will operate as northbound traffic only.
  • Meadows Road will operate as southbound traffic only.

These temporary traffic arrangements are designed to minimise delays, improve journey reliability, and support the safe and efficient movement of vehicles through the industrial area while work continues.

We appreciate the community's patience and cooperation during this period and encourage motorists to allow extra travel time, follow all traffic management signage, and plan their journeys accordingly.
