The Aigantighe Art Gallery is proud to present Whakahōnore i tō tātou taonga tuku iho, the first solo public art gallery exhibition by Timaru-based photographer Maania Tealei.

A new generation of cultural leaders will be inspired this June as students from across the region gather for the upcoming GLAM Careers Event—a hands-on, immersive introduction to career pathways.

Timaru District Council started it’s Majors Taskforce for Jobs programme in August 2024, and since then 17 young people have been placed into full time employment.

Council is planning to enhance and consolidate the play space at Centennial Park

A chat after a night at summer league basketball sparked a few extra matches on the court and has now turned into a multi-agency fundraiser taking place on Saturday.

Some exciting improvements are happening at Aigantighe, including an accessibility upgrade with new toilets being installed. The entre gallery will be closed from March 10 to April 8.
