Bylaws provide standards for public health and safety. Bylaws are local laws made to:
- protect the public from nuisances
- protecting, promoting, and maintaining public health and safety
- minimise the potential for offensive behaviour in public places
Bylaws affect how people live, work and play but are designed for the wellbeing and enjoyment of the public and residents of the District.
See the Bylaw Chapters section for the Consolidated Bylaw and individual chapters.
