Buses

In Timaru, Environment Canterbury (Canterbury Regional Council) is responsible for planning and tendering out bus services, marketing and providing information on bus services to the public.

The Timaru District Council is responsible for providing and maintaining the passenger transport infrastructure such as bus stops and shelters.

Timaru’s usual bus service has been replaced by a trial of the MyWay by Metro on-demand public transport service. Refer to the MetroInfo website for more information.
