Infrastructure Approved Contractors
Timaru District Council holds a register of approved contractors. This ensures:
- Work on Council assets is carried out to a suitable standard
- Obligations under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 are met
- Land owners and developers are provided with a choice of service providers when arranging for connections to Council assets.
All physical work on Council-owned infrastructure (including future infrastructure that will later be vested in Council) must be carried out by TDC approved contractors.
The register of approved contractors ensures that work is only carried out by experienced contractors with appropriate knowledge of Council specifications, training and safety systems.
