  • Performed with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic
  • Made numerous appearances with the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra


  • Won the Auckland Star Piano Concerto Competition 1969
  • Third in the prestigious Van Cliburn International Piano Competition 1973
  • Fourth in the Leeds Piano Competition 1974
  • Turnovsky Prize for Outstanding Achievement in the Arts 1989
