Do

  • Get out and be active
  • Have fun
  • Enjoy our parks regularly
  • Consider other users and neighbours
  • Restrict vehicle use to formed roads and designated car parks
  • Share walkways and cycle tracks with care
  • Ensure that you know where your dog is permitted to be and that it is under control
  • Care for plants, wildlife and everything else in parks
  • Avoid damaging fixtures and the land
  • Use gas BBQs
  • Approach Council if you are planning an event or organised activity
  • Seek permission before placing signs in parks
  • Report vandalism and graffiti. If you see something happening, call the Police. If it is after the act please advise Council
  • Discuss any proposals, ideas or concerns with us

Don't

  • Light open fires without permission. This includes charcoal BBQs .
  • Interfere with other people's enjoyment
  • Use areas leased, hired or booked by others
  • Erect signs, tents or structures without permission
  • Charge admission without approval
  • Operate a business without approval
  • Park a campervan or motorhome overnight in an area unless it is set aside for that purpose
  • Bring alcohol into an area where a liquor ban applies
  • Drop litter or deposit rubbish
  • Be put off by the above don'ts, they are there to ensure everyone can enjoy our parks
