Start on Coonoor Road across the road from the Saltwater Creek / Coonoor Road walk. This walk follows Saltwater Creek to link up with the Centennial Park walk.

Paddocks on both sides of the river provide interest with farm animals and aquatic birds. Extensive native plantings have been made as part of the development of this track.

The track passes the bottom edge of the TBHS sports fields. After school sports practices and Saturday competitions provide an interest at this point. The track continues north to arrive at the BMX track at the start of Centennial Park.

• Carex secta, a native sedge has been planted on the river banks.
• Birdlife includes, fantails (piwakawaka), black scaup, mallard ducks.
