Pleasant Point Domain Walk

Trail Features

Trail Information

Start on the path on the corner of State Highway 8 and George Street and continue into the Pleasant Point Domain. Walk past the camping ground to the left of the golf course. There is a well marked track to begin with which is flat, easy walking. Large firs and natives provide lots of shade.

The golf course is on the right, and on the left, there is rolling land with the mountains in the distance.

Do not cross the road but continue around the perimeter of the golf course. The road borders the track but is mostly hidden by trees. If you prefer to walk on the edge of the course rather than through the trees, keep an eye open for stray golf balls.

There are pigeons in the camping ground and native birds such as fantails (piwakawaka) on the other side of the golf course.
