Limited Notice of an Application for Resource Consent

Under section 95B of the Resource Management Act 1991

Timaru District Council has received a resource consent application from Canterbury Regional Council for a Land Use Consent.

Application Type: Resource Consent for Land Use

Site Location: Aorangi Rd, Meadows Rd & Sheffield St (Global) Seadown Drain and Stopbank

Description of Application:

The Application is for a joint land use consent related to the realignment of the Seadown Main Drain, construction of a new coastal stopbank and a new inland flood protection bank, associated access tracks, maintenance benches, and retirement of the existing drain and stopbank and ecological restoration planting.

The application may be viewed as linked below or at the Customer Services Reception, Timaru District Council, 2 King George Place, Timaru.  Environment Canterbury are receiving all submissions. If you wish to make a submission on the application your submission must be made in writing and emailed to consent.submissions@ecan.govt.nz. The statutory time period for submissions closes on Tuesday 27 October 2026 at 5pm.
