Timaru District Council is welcoming young people to the second of our conversation café events to see how we can make their ideas grow.
Councillor Sally Parker, who led the first event, said that it had been great for getting people together and generating ideas.
“The next step is to get together again to discuss these ideas and look at ways that we can help them establish and grow into reality.
“We were blown away by the community response to our first conversation café, it was a great opportunity to improve communication between council and its younger residents.
“We now want to keep the momentum going and see how we can harness their drive and creativity to make the district an even better place to live as a young person.”
